Our Collective Home

Happy April and the first official spring month here in the midwest! March was an absolute whirlwind (one we are still recovering from) and April is starting off to be just as exciting! If you caught last night’s episode of ‘A Quarter ‘Til Wine’ you heard the exciting announcement that Leslie Tyler Design and LuxeWise are collaborating to host the first ever ‘Our Collective Home’ Home Design Showcase!!

Both Camie Risinger, owner of LuxeWise and fellow local Interior Designer, and I connected and discovered that we both have a undeniable passion for not only our individual clients but our collective community. I recall how neighborhoods and communities felt and worked, not as individuals but as a collective. Now, more than ever neighbors need to be reminded of this comradery. The pride and investment we put into homes has a ripple effect that extends far beyond our front door. How we feel in our homes spills into every nook and cranny of our lives and creeps into the very tapestry of who we are. Camie and I believe that if we can provide the resources and hold space as the conduit for our collective community we all benefit.

“A rising tide lifts all boats.”

And this is no truer than in our immediate neighborhoods.

In collaboration with other local businesses and brands we will host a spring afternoon that is full of encouragement, sharing of stories, and answers to those panging questions you may be circling regarding your own home.

Attendees will enjoy a gallery show and open house. Held in the gallery of the Sunbeam Building 929 N Sheridan Peoria IL 61606 attendees will be able to enjoy the portfolios and installations of home design wares by local industry professionals. Without the pressure of a ‘market’, attendees will have an opportunity to connect with and discover brands without the pressure of purchasing from every booth.

Next, we will host a keynote speaker from a local Peoria insider who will share what our specific community is doing well, and what we should be doing to move us forward. We are in this thing together, when we move together in unison the highest peaks are reached.

Last but not least attendees will have an opportunity to turn the mic on the professionals. We will have a panel Q & A from realtors, contractors, restoration experts and community planners. We will be answering attendees specific questions you have regarding your home or how your decisions may impact the collective.

Wondering what period accurate fence would work well for your home but also elevate the property value? Ask away!

The barrier of entry is the number one cause of either mismanaged or ineffective home repairs. When people don’t know what they don’t know, and even more troublesome who to ask, our homes and communities take the hit. LuxeWise and Leslie Tyler Design are dedicated to changing that, to making things plain and simple. Our love for our neighbors runs deep. We know what a significant impact ‘home’ has and we want everyone to get every ounce of goodness out their own, and in turn raise up...

‘Our Collective Home’

Will we see you there?
