Architecture-Informed Interiors for Historic Spaces
MEET REAGAN
My path into design began not in a showroom or studio, but through a growing fascination with old buildings—their craftsmanship, their quirks, and the stories they carry forward through generations.
As the steward of a historic home and an active advocate for preservation within my community, I developed a deep appreciation for the responsibility that comes with altering an existing space. I learned that the most successful projects aren't about imposing a new vision onto a building; they're about understanding what makes a place special and allowing that character to guide the design process.
That perspective continues to shape every project at Leslie Tyler Design. I am especially drawn to historic homes, architecturally significant properties, and spaces that require a thoughtful balance of preservation and modern living. My work is informed not only by design principles, but by firsthand experience navigating renovation, restoration, construction, and the realities of caring for older buildings.
I believe beautiful interiors should feel as though they belong to the architecture around them. Whether collaborating with homeowners, architects, builders, or real estate professionals, my goal is to create spaces that honor a property's history while supporting the way people live today.
At its core, Leslie Tyler Design exists to help clients preserve what matters, thoughtfully evolve what doesn't, and create environments that feel enduring rather than temporary.

Led by Reagan Leslie, Leslie Tyler Design & Build brings a deeply informed approach to the restoration of historic properties. Each project begins with a careful understanding of the home’s architectural character, original materials, and historical context, allowing design decisions to feel intentional and connected to the integrity of the space. Our work is guided by a respect for craftsmanship and a belief that historic homes should evolve thoughtfully while retaining the qualities that make them enduring.

We believe thoughtful design is defined by the quality of its execution. From original millwork and architectural details to contemporary additions, every element is approached with care, restraint, and respect for the character of the home. We collaborate with skilled artisans and tradespeople who value craftsmanship, material integrity, and enduring work — ensuring each space feels cohesive, considered, and built to last.

Every project begins with understanding how our clients want to live within a space — how it should function, feel, and evolve over time. We approach the design process as a collaborative partnership, guiding each phase with transparency, careful attention, and a deep respect for both the architecture and the people who inhabit it. From early concept development through final installation, our goal is to create a process that feels intentional, seamless, and deeply personal.
